Creative Belli Challenge #135 - Jan 18 Frames

This is my design for today's Creative Belli Challenge. Frame It I hope you'll join in and post on the Creative Belli Challenge Webpage
In MDS; I used Well Worn Designer Series Paper then set a punch in the center of that filled it using the Color Match Tool with the Crumb Cake, I centered and Oval Punch on top of that, again using the Color Match Tool I filled it with one of the Very Vanilla tones from the Well Worn Designer Series Paper. The nest step was adding the stamps. Ornate Frame & Memories from the Frame It set; which are available in Wood, Clear Mount as well as MDS. I colored the two stamps in Early Espresso. I placed Antique Brads in the corners and an additional one where the Crochet Trim Ribbon meet.. To finish it off I added Drop Shadows to the elements of the card. I Have used this style with Paper and ink too, stamp a border stamp of your choice around the base layer of your piece, you can now either build up, or you can cut out the center of this piece and use dimensionals to raise it above a the base layer. I love using the technique of simply wrapping the ribbon around the raised frame/matte edge and then using min-glue dots to attach a bow, or knot. If you want to give more dimension to your project you can sponge the edges of your pieces. Here is the frame project Darsi chose to show on the Creative Belli Challenge
This is simply a little On-Board Frame from Stampin' Up! that I sponged Basic Black ink onto, darker on the outer edges. I also brushed the Basic Black inc over the top of the Whisper White layer that I had run through my Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. The ribbon is Whisper White 5/8 Inch Organza Ribbon, the button is actually a retired red corduroy brad. The black square is actually, the Postage Stamp Punch in Basic Black Paper. The sentiment is from the Clearly For You Set. Have a Great Day!
